About The Masquerade

Masquerade: a false show or pretense – the human condition, pride
Authenticity: genuine; a significant, purposive mode of human life

I’m a fairly normal chick with an often crazy life, loving Jesus and trying to figure out where I belong in this beautiful, messy world. Writing, reading, family, and friends are basically my life. I’m a quiet person on a mission to feed my adventurous side…Tolkein addict, horse crazy, and out of the box (so s’il vous plaît, don’t try to put me in one). I love people and language and poetry, whether written or not. Give me a mountain to climb or an adventure to go on and I’m there. To the world I say, bring it on, because I know how the story ends :) If you can get something out of this, cool. If not, also cool.

Veronique!- I’d have to agree with mom on this one…your name even implies your coolness. Keep up the writing!

  3. Hi

I saw your post on the NaNo South Africa – Elsewhere forum and then jumped to your profile. Was extremely excited to see that you’re a prospective med student and, even better, also a Christian!

In my state of excitement I wanted to NaNoMail you to say hi, but my newbieness let me down and I couldn’t figure out how to send it… :(

Anyway, I enjoyed looking at your blog and I hope you get selected for med school.

I’m glad you got to my blog, then! And welcome to NaNo, I hope you enjoy it :) If you have questions please ask. By the way, to send nanomail you go to the profile of the person you want to send it to, and there should be a link just below their avatar/photo which you can click.

Glad to hear you’re a Christian, as well :) Look forward to talking to you more!

      • Yup, can’t wait for November!

And on the nanomail side, I did all that, but the mean program wouldn’t let me send… Must be on strike or something!
